From Arzua to Amenal

Today’s trek was a little over 14 miles. Overcast and upper 50’s with a threat of rain. Thankfully we made it to the motel before it opened up and rained buckets for several hours. The body is really achy today (especially feet and knees…no blisters though). Not the best accommodations tonight but we are pilgrims. I did enjoy dinner with fellow pilgrims we have met along the way…Greg & Wendy from Perth, Australia and Bryan from New Zealand. We all enjoyed conversation, pizza, and a special drink (Licor de Herbas Sombra) provided by the restaurant. (Well, Wendy drank mine! I’m not a liquor fan) Other photos from the trail today. There have been several dogs walking the Camino and I love this guy carrying his own gear!

Along the way

The planted forest was very cool illusion. The trees evenly spaced in straight lines.
