A long journey
It was a long travel day but I’m happy to report I safely made it to Ponferrada, Spain this afternoon. There were some hiccups along the way but that all seems to melt away when I see this beautiful country. A huge shout out goes to my fellow pilgrim Jenny who has had a very challenging travel journey with two missed flight connections. She has had to think quickly on her feet to reroute and happy to say she is right around the corner as I write this!
An afternoon in Ponferrada
I have tootled around town being a tourist this afternoon and it’s a photographer’s dream. The old buildings and street vibe makes for interesting views. Below are some of the highlight images. I have many photos of the Templar Castle but too tired to go through them! More to come. One of the photos below is me getting my pilgrim passport stamp for the first time.
