Today was another long day of 28 km (17.4 miles) and almost 9 hours of walking. The good news is the hard days are behind us and we’re looking to the final leg of our journey to Santiago de Compostala on Saturday. It makes me laugh every time I see a road sign like this. It means you are now leaving that particular town if there is a red line through it. One thing that is nice about the Camino is no one cares what you wear! No make up. Messy hair. Socks/shoes are for comfort and it doesn’t matter how silly it looks. It’s very freeing.
Posing with Camino countdown kilometer signs that correspond closest to our ages.
Another church but the first one I have seen. with a beautiful mural. Another pause in the day for prayer and candle lighting.
Beautiful little town on the route where we stopped for photos and lunch. Pizza has been my favorite! I couldn’t resist photographing the sweet older couple walking down the city street. The bridge welcomed us into town.
I love seeing what local birds I hear singing along the way.
Was so happy to make it to Arzua for the night. View is from my hotel room window which is so nice. Stats for the day. Thanks for the prayers and support as I make this journey. Almost done! ✅
